Using a knife, make a small cut in the banana peel – from the stem down to the other end. The width of the cut should be no more than 1 cm. The idea is to cut a small “lid” out of the peel, fold it back into a small loop, and secure it with a toothpick on the opposite side.Next, make a slit in the banana itself and place one Kinder Riegel (or pieces of any chocolate you like) into the opening.Place the banana boats on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top and bottom heat with fan).Bake until the banana peel turns black – it took about 10 minutes for me.Serve warm and garnish with a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream.A wonderful, delicious, quick, and easy dessert!
Notes
Choose slightly larger bananas so they’re easier to work with.
It’s best if the bananas are well-ripened, as they’ll be sweeter and more flavorful.
Enjoy them while they’re still warm.
The amount of bananas and the type of chocolate are entirely up to you.
